Sessions
A Space to Slow Down, Reconnect, and Discover What Wants to Emerge
Healing isn't something that can be rushed or forced.
It unfolds through curiosity, relationship, and the gradual discovery of what has been waiting beneath the protective patterns that once helped us survive.
Each session offers a space to slow down, explore your experience with compassion, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been hidden, forgotten, or waiting patiently for the right conditions to emerge.
Rather than following a predetermined agenda, we'll meet your experience as it unfolds—honoring your intentions, your pace, and your innate capacity for healing.
Every Journey Begins Somewhere
There isn't a single path that every healing journey should follow.
While my training and experience help inform the work we do together, our sessions aren't centered around my agenda or a predetermined set of goals.
Instead, one of the first questions I may ask is surprisingly simple:
What do you most want for yourself?
It isn't a question about what others hope for you.
Or who you think you should become.
It's an invitation to begin listening more deeply to your own experience and discovering what feels most meaningful to you.
From there, our work becomes a collaborative process. Together, we'll explore your intentions with curiosity and compassion, allowing your unique path to unfold in a way that feels supportive and authentic.
Exploring Together
Our inner world can sometimes feel like standing at the edge of a deep well.
We sense there is something beneath the surface—experiences, emotions, beliefs, and parts of ourselves that have remained outside our awareness. Not because we've chosen to hide them, but because at one time it felt safer not to look too closely.
As we begin to look deeper, the water may appear darker. Not because something is wrong there, but because it has remained unseen.
Healing isn't about climbing to the bottom as quickly as possible.
It's about becoming curious enough to illuminate the next few feet.
My role isn't to pull you into places you're not ready to explore, nor to tell you what you'll find there. It's to explore alongside you—to bring curiosity where there has been fear, steadiness where there has been uncertainty, and compassionate presence where you may have felt alone. Together, we'll gently illuminate what has remained hidden, allowing more of your experience to come into view at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.
You remain the expert on your own experience.
As your capacity grows and your understanding deepens, experiences that once felt overwhelming often become more approachable with curiosity, clarity, and compassion. You don't have to explore what lies beneath the surface alone.
Making Room for More of You
Trauma work often involves developing a greater capacity to stay present with experiences that have felt painful, overwhelming, or difficult to navigate.
Equally important, however, is developing the capacity to remain present with experiences that feel expansive, nourishing, and life-giving.
As protective patterns begin to soften, people sometimes encounter moments of greater calm, connection, self-compassion, joy, love, or aliveness that feel surprisingly unfamiliar. Rather than settling into these experiences, it's common to instinctively move away from them or return to familiar patterns—not because something is wrong, but because these ways of being may feel just as unfamiliar as the challenges we've spent so much time trying to understand.
Part of our work together is creating space for these moments to unfold without rushing past them. By slowing down and giving them our attention, they have an opportunity to become more familiar, more embodied, and more available in your everyday life.
"It never changes our basic nature, which is love itself. And we're expressions of that."
— Laurence Heller
As more of you becomes available, we may gently return to what initially brought you into the session—not to analyze it again, but to notice what now feels different. Often, people discover that while the circumstances themselves may not have changed, their relationship to them has. These moments often become some of the most meaningful parts of the healing process, offering a glimpse of a way of being that is beginning to feel more natural and more like home.
What a Session May Look Like
No two sessions are exactly alike because no two people—or their experiences—are exactly the same.
Some sessions may involve exploring current challenges, relationships, or recurring patterns. Others may focus on developing greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, or the ways your nervous system has learned to protect you. At times, we may slow down and stay with a meaningful moment that's unfolding in the present. At other times, we may reflect on experiences from the past that continue to influence your life today.
Throughout the process, I draw from both the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) and Somatic Experiencing (SE), integrating each in a way that supports your unique intentions and the direction your process naturally unfolds.
There is no expectation that you have the right words, a complete understanding of your history, or even a clear sense of where to begin.
You don't have to perform your healing.
You simply have to arrive as you are.
Together, we'll begin there.
Beginning Is Often the Hardest Part
Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable.
For many people, it means acknowledging something they've carried quietly for a long time. Others worry they won't know what to say, that their experiences aren't significant enough, or that they somehow need to have everything figured out before asking for help.
You don't.
Whether you're navigating the effects of trauma, feeling disconnected from yourself, moving through a major life transition, or simply sensing that something wants to change, we'll begin exactly where you are.
You don't have to carry certainty into our first conversation.
Curiosity is enough.
Working Together
Sessions are offered virtually via Zoom, allowing you to participate from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
Each session is approximately 60 minutes and is tailored to your unique intentions, pace, and process. Because every healing journey is different, there is no predetermined agenda or expectation for how our work together should unfold.
I offer a complimentary 30-minute consultation to help us get to know one another, discuss what you're hoping for, answer any questions you may have, and determine whether working together feels like the right fit.
Sessions are provided as trauma-specialized coaching and are not psychotherapy or a substitute for mental health treatment. Additional information about coaching, informed consent, policies, fees, and scheduling is available in the Client Resources section.
If This Feels Like the Right Next Step
If something in these pages has resonated with you, perhaps that's enough for now.
You don't need to have your story fully understood, your goals clearly defined, or the right words to describe what you're experiencing.
You simply need a willingness to begin.
Healing doesn't happen because someone else has all the answers.
It happens through relationship, curiosity, and the gradual discovery that more is possible than survival once allowed.
If you're curious about what working together might look like, I invite you to begin with a complimentary 30-minute consultation. It's an opportunity for us to get to know one another, explore what brings you here, and determine whether working together feels like the right fit.
